Tveten writes the "Nature Trails" column for the Houston Chronicle.
He leads nature tours for the Smithsonian Institution. He
also holds a PhD. in organic chemistry. Gloria Tveten teaches
mathematics at Lee College in Baytown, Texas. She is author
of several math handbooks and has worked collaboratively with
John in natural history for many years.
